What Happened
A player from the Netherlands says they asked 1xBit on 2 April 2024 for a break until 1 June, first in live chat and then by email as support told them to. They say the break never started, and around 22 April they deposited about 20 mBTC and lost it. When they then asked for a permanent block, the account was closed within hours. 1xBit said it had no record of the earlier request.
How It Developed
- 2024-05-03Complaint opened, with a screenshot of the email asking for the break.
- The player said 1xBit's emails often failed to reach their Hotmail address, and support then refused to use the Gmail address it had suggested.
- The player shared 1xBit's reply: it closed the account once a gambling problem was reported, had heard of no problem before, and saw no basis for a refund.
- The mediator asked 1xBit how players should ask for self-exclusion and extended the deadline by 7 days.
- 2024-05-241xBit never answered. The mediator closed the case, noting the casino has no valid licence and no regulator to turn to.
Unresolved
1xBit never answered the mediator, and the player's request to get back about 20 mBTC in losses went nowhere.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing worked: 1xBit ignored the mediator and has no regulator above it. When you ask a casino for a break, use its built-in limit tools if it has them, and keep written proof of the request and of any reply.
