What Happened
A player from Hungary says Fairspin confirmed their KYC in May 2026 and the same day cut withdrawals to $500 a week and removed their right to hold TFS tokens, forcing them to sell down a token balance worth about $10,800. They say that on 14 July the account was blocked with a $500 withdrawal pending, about $1,000 in cash and roughly 2.5 million TFS worth about $3,900. Fairspin says the player used a commercial VPN and played mainly to farm platform rewards, which its terms forbid.
How It Developed
- 2026-08-04Complaint opened with a detailed timeline and a request that everything be paid out and the account closed.
- 2026-08-26The resolver invited Fairspin to explain the closure; the casino asked for more time.
- 2026-09-22Fairspin cited VPN use and reward-focused play under several clauses of its terms. The mediator asked what advantage the VPN gave and for gameplay records showing the reward abuse.
- 2026-09-29Fairspin said the breach was hiding the point of access itself, that the account's IP addresses also appeared on other accounts, and that no specific advantage needed to be shown.
- 2026-10-16After reading the casino's private email, the mediator said VPN use alone does not justify keeping a balance, that no evidence of a bypassed restriction or of reward abuse had been shown, and asked Fairspin to pay out or confirm its final position.
- 2026-10-22Fairspin has posted a reply that is awaiting moderation.
Ongoing
The mediator has told Fairspin that VPN use alone does not justify keeping about $5,400 and is waiting for the casino's final position.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Not settled yet. So far the mediator has pushed back on both of Fairspin's reasons and asked for proof of an actual advantage from the VPN, which the casino says it does not need to show. Whether the balance is released depends on its next answer.
