What Happened

A player who had used Fairspin for almost five years says the account was blocked in mid-July 2026 with no reason given, holding about $500 in BTC, a pending withdrawal of the same size and platform TFS tokens they value at around $30,000. They suspect the block is linked to selling those tokens. Fairspin told the mediator its review found VPN use, which its terms forbid and which it says allows it to keep funds. The mediator has asked what restriction was bypassed and for a full ledger of the frozen amounts.

How It Developed

  • 2026-07-26Complaint opened over a block the player links to selling platform TFS tokens.
  • 2026-07-28The mediator asked for the cash balance apart from tokens, the last deposit, the last KYC and the registered country. On 4 and 14 August the player answered: about $500, a deposit days before the block, full KYC in 2021, and Russia as the registered country.
  • 2026-08-21A resolver invited Fairspin, which said an internal compliance review was under way and that its terms allow restrictions during a review.
  • 2026-09-18Fairspin said the review had found VPN use in breach of its terms; the player denied ever being somewhere that access was unlawful and asked to see the evidence.
  • 2026-09-28After receiving login and IP-intelligence records, the mediator said they suggested VPN or hosting traffic but did not show which restriction was evaded or any advantage gained, and asked for that.
  • 2026-10-05Fairspin replied that its terms let it keep funds for hiding the access point by VPN, advantage or not; the mediator asked for a full BTC ledger. Fairspin emailed material on 19 October, the mediator replied and warned it about deadline-only answers, and a further casino post awaits approval.

The casino said only that it was still reviewing, and the page shows no return of the balance or tokens.

What Has (and Hasn't) Helped

Not settled. The mediator's position so far is the useful part: VPN use alone may justify closing an account, but keeping money needs a showing of what the player got around. The current blocker is Fairspin's full account ledger and its answer to that question.
