What Happened
A player from the Netherlands says Instant Casino let them verify fully, including source of funds, and paid out several withdrawals, until they asked for the remaining balance of €616,000. They say that from 13 March 2026 the site could no longer be reached from their country, more documents were requested and supplied, and then the account was closed and the balance voided with only a general reference to the terms. The casino told the mediator once that it would review the matter and then went quiet.
How It Developed
- 2026-03-27Complaint opened. The player said the matter had also gone to lawyers and the regulator.
- 2026-03-30The mediator asked how long the player had been a customer and whether the account had ever been used without a VPN. The player said they had played since December 2025 and accessed the site normally until 13 March.
- 2026-04-24A resolver took over, warned that the casino had several unresolved complaints, and argued that a casino which lets a player register, deposit and pass source-of-funds checks should pay winnings rather than apply a country rule afterwards.
- 2026-05-01No reply from the casino; the deadline was extended.
- 2026-05-11The mediator said the Dutch block appeared to have been put in place only after the winnings were made, that rules should not be applied backwards, and closed the case as unresolved against fair gambling. The player was pointed to the Curaçao regulator.
Confiscated
The mediator found the casino acted against fair gambling, and it kept the €616,000 balance.
What Helped
Nothing moved the casino. The mediator's position is clear and on record: a geo-restriction added after the win does not justify voiding it. That finding may help with the regulator or in court, which is where the player says the case is now.
