What Happened
A player living in Norway, who also holds Dutch citizenship, says Rollbit locked their account with $3,200 inside after a big win. The player says they passed early checks with a Dutch driving licence, then used a Dutch utility bill for the address step. Rollbit treated that as proof the player lived in the Netherlands, a country it does not serve, and would not let them verify again with Norwegian papers.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened. The player said they won about $4,100, took out their $1,100 deposit, and were then sent through two more KYC levels.
- Rollbit said that once documents place a player in a restricted country, the account is closed and cannot be moved to another country by verifying again. It also said Dutch documents cannot pass its checks.
- The player said they never played from the Netherlands, had a Norwegian residence permit and bills, and used Dutch ID only because the check allowed it.
- The mediator agreed the Dutch documents were a mistake, but found the player lived in Norway, meant no harm and should be allowed to verify again.
- Rollbit kept to its decision, so the mediator closed the complaint as unresolved.
Confiscated
The mediator said the player deserved a second chance to verify; Rollbit refused and kept the $3,200.
What Helped
Nothing changed Rollbit's mind, not even the mediator's finding. Verify with documents from the country you live and play in, even if the check accepts others. A document from a restricted country can lock you out for good.
