What Happened
A player from the Netherlands says they self-excluded from Rollbit twice because of a gambling problem, yet could still open new accounts and play. They say the site's access-blocked notice for Dutch users could simply be closed, and that they never used a VPN. They say they are also on the Dutch national self-exclusion register. The amount in dispute is listed as €3,500.
How It Developed
- 2022-12-13The mediator tried the site from the Netherlands and was redirected, without the notice the player described. The player sent video and the exclusion confirmation.
- 2022-12-22Rollbit said Dutch sign-ups are blocked, that it added extra restrictions when the player mentioned a gambling problem, and that an earlier account showed signs of a VPN.
- 2022-12-22The player replied that they only ever used a phone on mobile data, with no VPN.
- 2022-12-28Rollbit emailed its evidence. The mediator said it only partly backed the casino's claims and asked for better proof.
- 2023-01-12No more evidence came, and the case was closed as unresolved.
Unresolved
The mediator found Rollbit's evidence of VPN use only partly convincing, and the casino stopped responding.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
The player backed their account with video and the exclusion confirmation, and the mediator found Rollbit's VPN evidence only partly convincing; Rollbit then went quiet. If you are in the same spot, also file with the casino's licensing body; the mediator offered to help with that.
