What Happened
A player says the email address on their Stake account was shut down, so they asked Stake to switch the account to a new one. They say they sent every document asked for, but support then wanted a screenshot of a deposit from 2022. The player says their crypto wallet only shows about six months of history, so they couldn't produce it.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened: the player asked AskGamblers to help get the account email changed.
- AskGamblers asked Stake to explain the case, send evidence for its accusations against the player and name any rules broken, warning that silence would mean closing it as unresolved.
- AskGamblers said it was still waiting for more information from Stake.
- A follow-up post, apparently from the player, asked for help getting the money in their Stake account released.
- AskGamblers reviewed both sides, found Stake had followed its terms, and closed the case. It pointed the player to a regulator or an ADR service (an outside dispute body).
Rejected
AskGamblers found Stake followed its terms. There's no sign the email was changed, though the page lists the case as Resolved.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing worked. The mediator accepted Stake's position, which isn't public, and there's no sign the email was changed. Keep your own records of deposits, such as exchange statements, because your wallet app may not show old history when a casino asks you to prove the account is yours.
