What Happened
A player from Norway says they registered at Betplay.io on 30 November, deposited 1,270 XRP through a VPN, and won about $17,000 in a slot bonus round the same day. When they requested a withdrawal, they say, the account was blocked, and live chat told them it was permanently closed for multi-accounting with no appeal. The player says they have only one account; no KYC was ever requested. Betplay.io never answered the mediator.
How It Developed
- 2025-12-04Complaint opened one day after the block.
- 2025-12-05The player told the mediator nobody in their home has an account, but that the VPN could put other players on the same IP address.
- 2025-12-20Chat transcripts were sent to the mediator, twice, after the first email went missing.
- 2026-01-05The case moved to a resolver, who warned that this casino had ignored Casino.guru before and tried to find a contact.
- 2026-01-12The casino was given a final 7 days to respond.
- 2026-01-20No reply came, and the complaint was closed as unresolved, counting against the casino's rating.
Unresolved
Betplay.io never answered the mediator, and the roughly $17,000 win remains held under a multi-account claim the player disputes.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing moved the casino; it never engaged. Playing through a VPN on day one gave the casino an easy linking argument and left the player with little to push back with. Avoid VPNs at casinos that forbid them, and expect a first-day big win to be checked hard.
