What Happened
A player from Brazil says Betplay.io blocked their account for multi-accounting over a shared household IP the moment they tried to withdraw winnings from two football bets, and refused to return even the $50 deposit. The player confirmed that their brother, who recommended the site, has an account there and that the two sometimes use the same laptop and Wi-Fi. They offered to complete full KYC to prove they are a different person.
How It Developed
- 2026-06-23Complaint opened; the mediator asked about other accounts in the household, devices, shared or public devices, VPN use and games played.
- 2026-06-23The player answered: the brother has an account, the laptop and home network are shared, no VPN, two winning football bets.
- 2026-06-30Rejected: with a shared device there is no way to verify the accounts were run separately, so the multi-account policy was reasonably applied, and the mediator won't make a casino refund a deposit after a terms breach.
Rejected
The mediator said a shared household device made the multi-account call reasonable and did not order the $50 deposit refunded.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing. Admitting a shared device settled it: the mediator said a shared device, not just a shared network, makes separate use impossible to prove. If a relative plays on the same site, use your own device and connection from day one.
