What Happened
A player from Germany says mBit Casino paid a first win of about $2,000 without questions, then closed the account and kept the balance after a far bigger win, citing rules on multiple accounts and bonus play. The player says they held one verified account and asked for proof. mBit said the player had opened more than a dozen accounts to collect bonuses. The mediator reviewed evidence from both sides and sided with the casino.
How It Developed
- 2026-05-29Complaint opened. The player described a routine security check on 23 May, a full KYC request on 25 May, and a closure notice on 29 May.
- 2026-06-12A resolver asked mBit for its evidence. mBit replied that it had found over a dozen accounts used for bonuses and sent the details by email.
- 2026-06-18The mediator said the material partly backed the casino and asked the player about relatives with accounts, devices, IP address and transfers to other players.
- 2026-06-24Asked to prove ownership of the crypto wallet, the player listed incoming payments from an exchange, mBit and another casino, said outgoing transfers ran through intermediary addresses and exchange wallets, then disclosed a gambling addiction and over €14,100 deposited across eight sites in two months, one of them reached through a private broker platform.
- 2026-06-30The mediator concluded the casino acted within its rules and standard KYC and AML practice, pointing to third-party payment routes and the broker platform as compliance problems, and noted the casino had never been told about the addiction.
- 2026-07-20The player asked for the original multi-account claim to be proven and for at least the deposits back. The mediator said investigation materials cannot be shared with players, mBit named its ADR body, and the case was closed as rejected.
Rejected
The mediator accepted mBit's multi-account and compliance evidence; the balance stays with the casino, and the player was pointed to the ADR body.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing freed the money. Two things decided it: the mediator would not show the casino's evidence to the player, and deposits routed through intermediary addresses and a broker platform counted against the player under AML rules. Deposit straight from a wallet or exchange account in your own name, and tell a casino about a gambling problem as soon as it exists.
