What Happened
A player from Uruguay says Gamdom cancelled a $188 withdrawal of sports bet winnings and asked for level 2 KYC first. Two days after the check showed as passed, an agent said the account and balance were blocked for KYC fraud. The player says no detail was given, and an offer to send photos holding their ID was turned down because the decision was final.
How It Developed
- 2026-03-04The player said they uploaded both sides of a government ID and a live selfie through the verification provider and saw a green tick on their account.
- 2026-03-04The player said they used a VPN set to Costa Rica for about the first minute because the site was slow, then their real connection, including during verification and betting. They said Gamdom never mentioned a VPN.
- 2026-03-19A resolver asked Gamdom to explain. The mediator noted it cannot help if the dispute becomes purely about sports bets.
- 2026-04-07The mediator gave a final 7 days and also tried to reach the casino through affiliate channels.
- 2026-04-15Closed unresolved after no reply. The player was advised to complain to the Anjouan regulator through the license badge on the casino's site.
Unresolved
Gamdom never answered the mediator about why it labelled the account a KYC fraud case.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Avoid VPNs entirely, even for a minute: the player says it was not the stated reason, but it gives a casino an easy one. Gamdom never answered the mediator, even through back channels, so the remaining route is the Anjouan license badge on its site.
