What Happened
A player who says they live in Finland had their Stake account suspended in February 2026 and was asked to redo verification up to level 4. The player lives with their parents and says Stake turned down a bank statement, two bank letters and a tax letter as proof of address. According to the player, two support agents gave opposite answers on whether a parent's utility bill would count.
How It Developed
- 2026-02-25Stake emailed the player that the account was temporarily suspended and asked them to pass verification levels 2, 3 and 4 again.
- The player passed level 2 but got stuck on proof of address. They say bank papers and a tax letter were refused with no clear reason.
- AskGamblers asked the player to send the required documents and confirm it on the page, or the case would be rejected.
- The player said they were trying to get papers stamped by their employer and bank, and complained that stamped statements were asked for so late.
- Stake said it wanted payslips and a bank statement, each signed and stamped by whoever issued them, and that nothing like that had come in for over 10 days. It offered to review the right papers.
- AskGamblers rejected the complaint because the player didn't cooperate, and pointed them to the regulator.
Abandoned
AskGamblers rejected the complaint after the player didn't send the stamped bank statement and payslips Stake asked for.
What Helped
Nothing, because the stamped papers never arrived in time. Ask the casino early for its exact document list, including whether each one must be signed and stamped, and send everything before the mediator's deadline.
