What Happened
A player from Mauritius says Stake locked the wallet part of their account after a 2,500 USDT cashout and told them it suspected a breach of its rules. For about three months they say they kept sending address proof, bank records and liveness selfies, all turned down with no reason given, until Stake said the account was suspended for good and the remaining 4,073.93 USDT would not be released.
How It Developed
- 2026-07-20Complaint opened. The player played mostly blackjack plus some sports and esports and still had login access, just no wallet.
- 2026-07-31The resolver asked Stake to explain the closure and name the rule it relied on.
- 2026-08-07Stake replied that the player's verification submission did not meet its standards, which it treats as a breach of its terms, and that the account was permanently restricted with the funds held. It sent the details to the mediator by email.
- 2026-08-11The mediator reviewed Stake's confidential screenshots, found signs that a submitted document had been edited, and closed the complaint as rejected.
Rejected
The mediator accepted Stake's confidential evidence that a KYC document showed signs of editing, so the account stays closed and the 4,073 USDT is withheld.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing worked for the player: the mediator saw the casino's evidence and agreed the document looked altered. Only ever upload original, unedited files, because a single edited page can cost the whole balance and the mediator will not publish the proof.
