What Happened
A player from Russia says they used Stake almost daily from 2022 until a fresh verification in July 2026. At the address step, Stake turned down a bank statement and then a letter from the bank. The player says that a minute after they uploaded a notarised certificate from the housing authority, the account was closed for good, with Stake citing misleading information. The player denies this and says the balance is mostly their own recent deposits.
How It Developed
- The player says they redid the ID and selfie checks and passed an outside identity check, but the address step stalled because the utility bills are in a parent's name.
- Complaint opened. The mediator asked how the balance was built, what reason Stake gave and whether other address documents exist.
- The player posted a long dispute asking Stake to name the exact false detail and the rule used to hold the money. They offered translations, notarised copies and a live video check.
- The mediator could not find the emailed documents and asked for them in the thread. The case then went to a resolver.
- The resolver invited Stake to explain. No reply yet.
Ongoing
Waiting for Stake's first reply. Its reason is known only from the player's account of its emails.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing yet. The player says support had told them the certificate might be accepted before they uploaded it. Save chats like that, and ask in writing which address documents will be accepted before you send anything unusual.
