What Happened

A player says Stake restricted their account in October 2022 with 4.02 BTC inside, grown from a 1.837 BTC deposit. They had been trying to pass KYC since April 2023, in an email thread that ran to 76 replies. The ID check passed after about six tries. For the address check, the player says Stake ignored a notarised tenancy letter and a bank letter and kept asking for more.

How It Developed

  • Complaint opened: the player wanted the funds unlocked and said every bet came from their own laptop at home.
  • Stake thanked the player for sending the documents again in the format it wanted, said they were verified, and removed the restrictions.
  • The mediator asked the player to confirm the problem was solved.
  • The player said the account was unfrozen and most of the funds were withdrawn. The case was closed as resolved.
Resolved

Stake verified the documents and lifted the restriction; the player withdrew most of the funds and left the rest to play.

What Helped

Upload again in the exact format the casino asks for. Stake cleared the account once the player resent the documents the way it wanted them.
