What Happened
A player says a Euro 2024 promo code promised to pay bets as winners if the backed team scored in the first 15 minutes, even if it went on to lose. The player says two such bets, on Scotland vs Switzerland and Croatia vs Albania, were not paid under the offer, leaving about 6,500 rupees owed. Stake said it had emailed the player in May that they could no longer join promotions.
How It Developed
- 2024-06-19According to Stake, the player placed the two bets on this date. The promotion had started on 6 June.
- The player says emails to Stake went unanswered for a couple of days, so they filed a complaint.
- Stake told the mediator it had emailed the player on 14 May, more than 30 days before the bets, to say they were no longer eligible for any promotions.
- The mediator asked Stake for a copy of that email, and Stake said it had sent the details privately.
- The mediator ruled that Stake had followed its terms and closed the case, pointing the player to a regulator or dispute service.
Rejected
The case was marked resolved, but the mediator found Stake followed its terms. Stake said it had told the player earlier they were barred from promotions.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing worked: Stake said it had told the player weeks earlier that they were barred from promotions, and the mediator accepted that. Before using a promo code, check your inbox for notices from the casino and ask support whether your account can still take part. Keep their answer.
