What Happened
A VIP player from Estonia says Stake used two perks to get them to deposit and bet more: a personal VIP host and reload bonuses sold as permanent. The player says both were taken away without warning near the end of 2021. They wanted half of the house edge (the casino's built-in advantage) on their play, about $4,000, or the bonuses restored with back pay.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened: the player said messages to support, on Telegram and to the compliance team got no answer.
- Stake said the player had been suspected of bonus abuse and the restriction was lifted after a review, but the player no longer met the bonus rules. It denied the VIP perks were misleading and said the account is now blocked.
- The player asked for proof of abuse, saying they had reached the required VIP rank and the bonuses came with no wagering rules.
- The mediator asked Stake for more information.
- After getting it, the mediator found Stake had followed its terms and closed the case.
Rejected
Marked Resolved, but the mediator found Stake followed its terms. The bonuses were not restored and no money was paid.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing worked. Treat VIP perks as something a casino can change or take away, even when they are called permanent. Save screenshots of every promise and of the terms on the day you get them.
