What Happened
A player says Stake blocked their account without giving a reason and asked them to verify their identity again. The player says Stake then kept turning down documents picked from its own list of accepted papers. They wanted the account closed for good and their €443.85 balance paid out.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened. The mediator asked the player to confirm whether they had sent Stake the verification papers, warning that delays would lead to rejection.
- The player said the one document they had covered everything Stake asked for, but it was still refused.
- Stake said it had reviewed and rejected the first documents, and that 26 days later nothing new had arrived. It said it would pick the check back up once new papers came in.
- The mediator rejected the complaint because the player had not sent the documents Stake requested.
Rejected
The mediator closed the case because the player did not send the new documents Stake asked for. The page shows no payout of the €443.85.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Arguing that the refused document was enough did not help. Ask the casino in writing exactly why a document failed and which one it will take instead, then upload a new one. AskGamblers expects players to keep sending documents while a case is open and rejects cases when they don't.
