What Happened
A player says they deposited 8,000 USDC at Stake in early October and grew the balance to about 122,000 in one day. A first withdrawal of 50,000 went through. Minutes after a second withdrawal of 55,000 failed, the account was suspended. The player says they redid KYC levels 1 to 3, but Stake then turned down the same ID sent through an outside checking service and closed the account with about $72,000 inside.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened: the player says Stake suspended the account over a suspected rule breach but never named the rule.
- The player says they sent every KYC document asked for, including an ID that Stake had already approved at level 2.
- A Stake representative said the casino had sent the mediator more details about the case by email.
- The player posted that the problem was still not fixed.
- AskGamblers reviewed the evidence from Stake, said it gave good reason to suspect fraud, and rejected the complaint. It also barred the player from filing complaints on its site.
Rejected
AskGamblers said Stake's private evidence pointed to possible fraud. The player denies breaking any rule.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing worked here. The mediator sided with Stake based on evidence that was shared privately and isn't public. If your account is closed after a big win, keep a record of every KYC step and ask the casino in writing which exact rule it says you broke.
