What Happened
A player from India says a ₹15,000 deposit, paid from a MobiKwik wallet over UPI in May 2026, never showed up in their Stake balance. They later reported two smaller deposits, of ₹2,000 and ₹1,950, with the same problem. Stake said its payment provider checked all three and never received the money, and told the player to take it up with their bank.
How It Developed
- 2026-06-06After the mediator suggested going through the payment provider, the player said MobiKwik had told them the merchant refused a chargeback, as the money had already reached the receiving bank.
- 2026-07-08The case went to a resolver. Stake replied that its provider found no record of the three payments, and pointed the player to their bank and India's central bank rules.
- 2026-07-28Stake told the mediator it would look again if the player sent full original statements and written confirmation that each payment reached the receiving account.
- 2026-08-07The player sent a MobiKwik screenshot and a support reply. The mediator said these did not show where the money landed and asked again.
- 2026-08-21After a full wallet statement arrived, the mediator said it still could not tell where the ₹15,000 ended up, and closed the case as unresolved.
Unresolved
The mediator could not work out where the ₹15,000 went. Stake says its provider never received it.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
The wallet statement showed the money left and never came back, but not who received it. When the casino and the payment app disagree, ask the wallet provider for a written note naming the receiving account, or take it to a financial regulator that can trace payments between banks.
