What Happened
A player says Stake suspended them for having more than one account. According to the player, support said they could keep one main account if they finished KYC levels 1 to 4 on it, and they did. Stake then banned both accounts for good, with $1,800 left inside that the player says came from their own deposits and play.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened. The player wanted the $1,800 balance released.
- AskGamblers asked Stake for an update and warned that silence would close the case as unresolved.
- Stake said the account broke its rule of one account per player, and that its terms let it keep money won in breach. It sent details to AskGamblers by email.
- The player answered that they had followed support's advice in good faith, used no bonus and did nothing fraudulent, so losing the money was too harsh.
- AskGamblers decided Stake had followed its terms and closed the case. It said the player could still go to the regulator or an outside dispute service.
Rejected
Marked resolved, but AskGamblers sided with Stake over the second account. The $1,800 was not returned.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing worked. What the player says support promised did not outweigh Stake's one-account rule. Keep only one account per casino, and if support offers you a deal, get it in writing and save a copy.
