What Happened
A player says Stake cancelled their 6,181 USDC withdrawal on 3 March 2025 and asked for full level 4 KYC. The player says they sent their ID and bank statements twice, and both times they were turned down. They say their money came from gifts from family and friends, and they sent a notarised letter for a $20,000 gift.
How It Developed
- 2025-03-03Within about an hour, the withdrawal was cancelled, the money went back to the balance, and Stake asked for full KYC.
- Complaint opened. The player asked for the withdrawal to be paid and the account closed.
- Stake said it had already told the player the account was closed for good for breaking its terms, and had sent details to AskGamblers by email.
- The player denied any wrongdoing and offered a video call to prove who they are.
- AskGamblers said Stake's evidence gave it reasonable grounds to suspect fraud. It rejected the complaint and banned the player from its complaint service.
Rejected
AskGamblers said Stake's evidence pointed to possible fraud. The player denies it, and the 6,181 USDC was not paid.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Nothing worked. The mediator accepted evidence Stake sent privately, and its contents were never shown on the page. The player's offer of a video call to prove their identity did not change the result.
