What Happened

A player from India says Stake suspended their account over a suspected terms breach and is holding a $480 balance. The player says they sent a selfie with ID, a rent agreement, payslips and bank statements. Stake then asked for proof of money from October to December 2024, which the player calls far too old to matter.

How It Developed

  • 2026-08-27Complaint opened. The player said the account dates from 2024, had paid out before, and had never been asked for documents until now.
  • 2026-09-29A resolver took over and asked Stake why the withdrawal was on hold.
  • 2026-10-05Stake said its terms let it ask for more KYC at any time. It turned down a one-page Indian tax filing receipt and listed what it accepts, such as stamped payslips with matching bank statements, or exchange records showing the crypto purchase.
  • 2026-10-13The player said the 2024 money was earlier Stake winnings sent to a crypto wallet and back. Stake replied that it found no withdrawal that large to explain a deposit of about 14,142 USDT, and that the wallet history sent had no owner name on it.
  • 2026-10-13The player said their payslips are signed digitally, not stamped, and that the upload page keeps rejecting them. They asked to send them by email instead.
  • 2026-10-16The mediator asked Stake whether digital payslips or email would be accepted, and asked the player to explain the gap between their story and Stake's records.
Ongoing

Waiting for Stake to say if it accepts digitally signed payslips. Stake says a 2024 deposit is unexplained; the player disputes that.

What Has (and Hasn't) Helped

Nothing has freed the money yet. The mediator did get Stake to name the exact deposit it wants explained and the papers it accepts. If your proof is a crypto wallet history, download it straight from the wallet provider with your name on it. An export without a name was turned down here.
