What Happened
A player says a 1,700 INR deposit made on 9 May 2026 left their bank account but never showed up in their Stake balance. Stake's support closed the ticket, saying the money never reached it and the player should look for a bank reversal. The player says no reversal came and their bank turned down a chargeback request.
How It Developed
- 2026-08-14Complaint opened. The player sent a bank statement and said they had made about 100 deposits before without trouble.
- 2026-08-28Stake said its payment provider traced the payment and never received it. It added that some of the player's screenshots showed a different deposit, from 16 May.
- 2026-08-28Stake also noted a letter from the player's bank saying the payment went through and that the receiving bank refused to send it back.
- 2026-09-09The player asked Stake to show the receiving account's statement. The casino sent its provider's findings to the mediator by email.
- 2026-10-08The mediator said it could not tell where the money ended up: the bank says it was processed, while the casino and its provider say it never arrived. The case was closed, with advice to use the bank's formal complaint process.
Unresolved
The mediator could not tell where the deposit went and sent the player to their bank's complaint process.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Ask your bank for an official trace that shows which account received the money. Here the bank confirmed the payment left, the casino and its provider said it never arrived, and the mediator had no way to decide between them. It offered to look again if such a trace turns up.
