What Happened
A player says Stake asked them to verify their account, but the upload button didn't work and an email sent a week earlier got no answer. They say the account showed withdraw-only mode, yet they still couldn't take money out. No amount was given.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened. AskGamblers asked the player how much money was involved.
- Stake said the account was on hold over a possible breach of its terms. It wanted a selfie with an ID and a note of the username and date, as well as papers showing the player's address and income.
- Stake said the papers must be originals that are signed, stamped or notarised, sent as photos rather than scans, through the account's verification page.
- AskGamblers asked the player to confirm the papers had been sent and warned that going quiet could lead to rejection.
- The player never replied on the page, and the case was marked rejected with no reason posted.
Abandoned
The player did not reply after Stake asked for documents, and the case was marked rejected. No closing reason was posted.
What Helped
Nothing got tested, because the player never answered after Stake listed what it needed. If you're in the same spot, upload the papers through your account settings, then say on the complaint that you've done it. Mediators close cases that go quiet.
