What Happened
A player from Russia says every verification step on their Stake account showed as complete, yet the account sat in withdrawal-only mode and each withdrawal attempt failed with an error, even a test of about $150. The player puts the crypto balance at roughly $1,020,000. Stake's complaints inbox, the player says, did not answer for more than a month.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened. The player said the balance came almost entirely from Stake's own casino games plus three sports bets worth under 30 SOL in total, with no bonus.
- The resolver asked Stake why withdrawals stayed blocked. Stake replied that the account was under active review and sent details to the mediator privately.
- The player, who says the money comes from an inheritance, reported that the source-of-funds check had flipped from complete to needing attention, and that new uploads failed with the same error. The mediator asked Stake for an exact list and a working way to send it.
- Stake said the player had not given genuine proof of where the funds and wealth came from, that its complaints team had sent the list, and that the player would get another chance. The mediator asked Stake to back up its doubts.
- The player sent a new source-of-funds package to Stake and to the mediator. Stake confirmed it is reviewing it, and the deadline was pushed back 7 days.
Ongoing
Stake is reviewing the player's new source-of-funds documents. It questioned the earlier papers; the player says they had been accepted at first.
What Has (and Hasn't) Helped
Bringing in the mediator got Stake to name the problem and send a document list after a month of silence. If a casino asks for papers but its upload breaks, ask for another secure channel and send a copy to the mediator as well.
