What Happened
A player from India says they typed their national ID number instead of their bank account number into two rupee withdrawals made ten minutes apart in late April. They say one, for 11,100 INR, failed and came back to the Stake balance. The other, for 10,000 INR, was first said to be under review with the payment provider and then, according to the player, declared complete with a bank reference number. The player argues no account with those details exists, so the money must still be sitting with the provider.
How It Developed
- Complaint opened about 25 days after the two withdrawals. The mediator asked for a screenshot of the request, any official word from Stake and the chat history.
- The player posted screenshots of both requests, the reversal of the first one and a bank lookup showing no such account, and emailed the chat log.
- The resolver was away, so the deadline was extended; the mediator then asked for one more screenshot proving the 10,000 INR request carried the wrong number.
- The player did not reply, and after a 7-day extension the complaint was closed. It can be reopened.
Abandoned
The player stopped responding when asked for a screenshot of the wrong bank details on the 10,000 INR request. It can be reopened.
What Helped
The case stalled on one missing screenshot. If a payout to wrong bank details is marked complete, keep the original withdrawal screen that shows the exact number you entered; that is the single piece of proof the mediator asked for before going to the casino.
