BitStarz: The Complaint Record

17 cases on file · $1,650 in dispute

7.4High

We have 17 cases on file for BitStarz, 16 from Casino.guru and one from AskGamblers. All but one were filed between April and October 2026; the other dates from 2022.

The most common dispute is a welcome bonus. In 5 cases, BitStarz voided bonus winnings, saying an earlier account, or another player on the same IP address, had already claimed the offer. In one, it pointed to a 2016 account with matching details. In another, it put about C$2,000 back as a one-off exception after the mediator asked for its reason.

In 4 cases, a withdrawal led to checks beyond ID and a selfie: a photo next to a street sign or bus stop, or holding a newspaper with the date. One player gambled a €16,000 balance away while the check dragged on.

Three complaints, one of them over $81,000, were never examined because the account closure was more than six months old.

In short: the cases here mostly turn on strict bonus rules and extra ID checks, and late complaints can't be reviewed at all.

The Good News in the Cases

  • Put about C$2,000 in voided winnings back as an exception after the mediator asked for its reason
  • Showed the mediator its records in bonus disputes, such as logs of 572 bets above the bonus limit

The Bad News in the Cases

  • Voided bonus winnings over an earlier account or a shared IP address in 5 cases
  • Asked for a selfie next to a street sign or bus stop, or with a newspaper, in 4 withdrawal checks
  • Left an account open for play during a stalled check; the player gambled away €16,000
  • In 2 cases, players say BitStarz let them back into an account after a self-exclusion or block request
